Lake Garda Wedding Photography - Lidia and Joe
Back in August I had the pleasure of returning to Italy to shoot Lidia and Joe’s wonderful wedding in the stunning town of Malcesine on the shores of Lake Garda. It was a spectacular day, the weather was equally spectacular as the guests enjoyed an open air ceremony at the stunning Castello Scaligero. After the wedding ceremony we took a walk through the bustling, cobbled streets of Malcesine to the reception. A 7 course Italian feast followed by the most amazing wedding cake gave Lidia and Joe’s family and friends all the sustenance they needed to party the night away. A joyous, wonderful occasion for all (including a very sweaty wedding photographer) - here’s a selection of images that hopefully give you a feel for the amazing day we all enjoyed. As a destination documentary and fine art wedding photographer I am available for commissions not only in the UK but internationally.
Just a quick word of congratulations to Lidia and Joe who were married at the stunning Castello Scaligero on the shores of Lake Garda. It was a stunning occasion for all concerned with family and friends travelling from the UK and Italy to celebrate. More images to come very soon.
As a wedding photographer, I’m very fortunate to visit many beautiful locations to shoot weddings. From time to time I take on international commissions and later this summer I’ll be travelling to Lake Garda and Lake Como for two amazing weddings. I thought I’d share this lovely moment from a wedding I shot at the spectacular Villa Passalacqua in Moltrasio, Lake Como. Tara and her father are walking to the spectacular music room for the ceremony. The light from a nearby window just bringing out the detail in her amazing dress as she passed by. It’s such a serene moment, capturing images like this is the life blood of my work, nothing contrived or orchestrated, simply telling the story of one particular moment on a special day.
The link contains a trailer put together by Mark Gibson of Moving Presentations based in Sydney. I was lucky enough to work with Mark and Troy at Tara and Sean's wedding in Lake Como. Mark won an Australian Video Producers Association award for this short film - Mark, hope you don't mind showing this. Anyone out there looking for world class wedding cinematographers - look no further than Mark and Troy, as long as you can afford to pay their travel expenses !
One of the joys of being a wedding photographer is having the opportunity to shoot at some of the most amazing locations in the Uk & Europe. One of my favourites has been Powerscourt House and Gardens in Co Wicklow, Ireland. Powerscourt is quite literally, breathtaking - with stunning gardens set in the magnificent surroundings of the Wicklow Mountains. I had the pleasure of photographing Simon and Maeve's wedding at Powerscourt, here are a few images to give you a feel for what was a wonderful wedding day.
Tara and Sean were married at the incredible Villa Passalacqua overlooking Lake Como, Italy. We were lucky enough to be invited to shoot their wedding over an entire weekend allowed us to capture their pre-wedding evening meal, the entire wedding day and a very chilled Italian Feast before guests departed for the airport. We were lucky enough to work with two great videographers who flew in from Sydney especially for the wedding. Mark of Moving Presentations won an Australian Video Producers Association (best short film category) for the wedding trailer - well worth a view.
