Dreaming of her wedding day ..... Fawsley Hall Wedding Photography
They say that when it comes to wedding arrangements, a bride will start making her preparations by the age of 5 or 6 ! I recently completed the edit of Sarah and Robert's wedding at Fawsley Hall and this image rang a chord with me. I love the look that Sarah's daughter Isabelle is giving her as she helps her mum with her final preparations. My candid and unobtrusive approach to capturing a wedding day allow me to share in these precious moments without orchestration.
Photobombs are a hilariously unpredictable part of our image obsessed lives, and even though some photobombers ruin a perfectly good pic most make that captured moment much more memorable. Here's a case in point, an image capturing a beautifully emotional moment between our bride Vanessa and a close relative, hugely enhanced by Vanessa's friends entering stage left 🙂
Once again, I'm playing catch up with a few blog posts after a busy few months of wedding wonderfulness. Now into June, I can't believe how quickly the year is passing by and in an attempt to turn back time a little I have the pleasure of featuring a few of my favourite images from Eve and John's lovely wedding at the always impressive Fawsley Hall back in March. It was a busy day, with a ceremony in the Valentine Room and then a quick drive to the beautiful St Mary the Virgin in Badby for a blessing. It was then back Knightley Court for an evening of fun, food and merriment. Here's a little taster for you.
I'd just like to share with you a few images from Jemma and Jamie's wedding held at Fawsley Hall back in March. Despite it being a rather overcast and chilly day (not great for the boys in kilts!) a wonderful time was had by all. The ceremony and wedding breakfast were held in the beautiful Salvin Suites, with a drinks reception in the magnificent Great Hall. The weather held out for us and we were able to take a quick walk for some photographs in the hotel grounds before the evening celebrations in Knightley Court. There are a few more Fawsley weddings that will be published soon so be sure to keep an eye out for these. In the meantime, enjoy Jemma and Jamie's big day.
The second of my pre-christmas weddings saw me returning to Fawsley Hall to capture Vanessa and James' magical day. It was a great day for all concerned and an absolute pleasure for me to photograph. Vanessa and James really made Knightley Court their own by adding several personal touches to the occasion, including a spectacular pork pie wedding cake - I'm pretty sure it tasted as good as it looked. Here's a selection of images from the day, enjoy.
I was fortunate enough to have two weddings at Fawsley Hall just a couple of days before Christmas. On both occasions we were very lucky with the weather, enjoying some late winter sunshine (even if the temperatures were a little on the low side !). The first of my weddings saw Faye and Graeme two the knot. They enjoyed a lovely intimate day with family and friends, complete with spectacular fireworks in the evening.
It was a corker of a day back in July when I returned to Fawsley Hall for Claire and Terry's big day. The very personal ceremony was undertaken by Independent Celebrant Judy Mansfield of Cherish Ceremonies with musical accompaniment by the Ariella Strings Quartet. A great time had by all with lots of fun, food and frolics ! Claire and Terry were great to work with, enjoying their day to the MAX - thanks for inviting me along to capture those moments for you - here's a selection of my favourites from the day.
Here's a quick sneak peek of a few faves from Joanna and Leon's recent wedding at Fawsley Hall. A great day had by all with the youngsters taking centre stage (along with the bride and groom of course). Joanna wore a stunning Jenny Packham dress and the boys were uber cool in Hugo Boss. Choccywoccydoodah supplied the amazing cake and the evening entertainment came courtesy of Potter Group. Personal message and signed photo of Lord Sugar (Joanna featured in the Apprentice a few years ago) went down a treat.
After a very busy winter I'm in the process of playing catch up with my blog posts , the first of which is Laura and Scott's great day last autumn (where does the time go ?!). Both Laura and Scott now live in the US but it was very much an english country wedding on this occasion. I met Laura and the girls at Laura's parents house in Desborough so it was only a short hop, skip and a jump to the beautiful St Giles Church for a very personal wedding ceremony officiated by close family friend Rev. Canon Neil Clarke. It was then off to Fawsley Hall for the wedding reception. It was a lovely crisp autumnal day, perfect for a gentle stroll around Fawsley's perfectly manicured grounds. Laura and Scott added several stateside touches to the day, one of the more popular being Samuel Adams Boston Lager, a brew specially imported for the day. A sparkler procession heralded the commencement of the evening festivities with partying long into the evening. Here's a few of my favourite images from the day.
We had another beautiful day at Fawsley back in September for the wedding of Elena and Luke. Having both recently moved back to the UK from Paris, the wedding had a very French feel and the Saunders Suite looked wonderfully opulent with the inclusion of some stunning mood lighting and candelabra. Both Elena and Luke were very relaxed and great to work with - letting me work unobtrusively, capturing the day for them as they enjoyed the company of their family and friends. Here's a small selection of images from the day.
