Dodmoor House Wedding Photography - Vic & Scott
It was a a scorcher of a day back in the summer when I had the pleasure of revisiting the marvellous Dodmoor House for Victoria and Scott's beautifully intimate wedding. I was commissioned by the couple the year before as they loved my relaxed and unobtrusive approach to photographing a wedding and also because I'm a regular visitor to Dodmoor House. It was a beautiful day at the Northamptonshire venue and a day filled with emotion, fun and lots of laughter.
I like to arrive early to make sure I capture the bridal preparations and it was great to see how Vic and her bridesmaids were so relaxed and enjoying the occasion. As Dodmoor House is an exclusive wedding venue it's great to be able to spend time with the both the bride and the groom ahead of the wedding. Scott arrived an hour or so before the ceremony which was held in the courtyard barn. Drinks were served in the gardens before guests made their way to the wedding breakfast in the Catesby Barn. Emotional speeches followed with a wonderful sparkler procession ahead of the cutting of the cake and first dance. It was such a glorious day, many of the couples guests were able to stay outside into the wee small hours enjoying a catch up and a refreshing drink.
So then here are a few of my favourite images from Vic and Scott's wonderful day at Dodmoor House.

It's always a pleasure to work at Dodmoor House, such a great team and a beautiful venue whatever the season. Alice and Aaron were married here at the beginning of December and we were blessed with a gorgeous, crisp (if a little chilly) day. If you are considering a barn wedding with exclusive use and amazing levels of customer service I would really suggest you contact Dodmoor House and chat through your plans. As a preferred wedding photographer at the venue I'm due to photograph quite a few weddings here in the coming months, really looking forward to it ! Here's a selection of images that document this lovely wedding day. Enjoy
Catherine and George celebrated their wedding at the 12th Century church of St Andrews in Harlestone before departing with family and friends for a reception at the wonderfully intimate, Dodmoor House. Despite the weather not playing ball initially rain did not stop play and guests were able to enjoy the lovely grounds before and after the wedding breakfast. The happy couple were looking for a more documentary approach to their wedding photography, with little in the way of formality. This suited my style perfectly and I was able to move amongst the guests capturing proceedings without the photography breaking the natural flow of the day. As a recommended supplier at Dodmoor House it was a pleasure to return and capture Catherine and George's big day, here's just a small selection of images for you to look over. If you are considering a wedding photographer with a more natural, unobtrusive style for your wedding at Dodmoor House then please feel free to contact me.
Wow, what a day we had a few weeks ago for Laura and James' wedding at Dodmoor House. It was a magical day for everyone concerned with stunning early autumn sunshine, fun and games for guests in the courtyard and exquisite attention to detail with Laura and James well and truly stamping their personality on the entire celebration. Such a lovely, relaxed, fun couple - Laura and James were the perfect match for my candid, story-telling wedding photography. Why not take a look at some of the images below and relive another wonderful Dodmoor House Wedding.
After a busy Christmas and New Year it's nice to have the chance to post a few more weddings from the 2014 season. The latest blast from the past see's a return to the enchanting Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire for Sara and Sean's big day back in June. It was a typical summers day with a little squeeze of liquid sunshine ! That said, the rain stayed away during the key moments of the day and Sara and Sean were able to perform a lovely first dance in the courtyard, accompanied by the wonderful Mango Acoustic. The Catesby Barn looked amazing for the wedding breakfast with bouquets and table centre pieces magnificently designed by Anna of Julie-anna Flowers. Here's a small selection of the images taken on the day.
It was lovely to return to Dodmoor House for the wonderful wedding of Shelly and Martin on a beautiful late September day. Great food, family and friends - the perfect ingredients for a wedding to remember. Here's just a small selection of my favourite images from the day.
I was thrilled to be able to return to Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire for the wedding of Louise and Jeff. Vintage was very much order of the day with the Catesby and Courtyard Barns meticulously dressed from top to toe in vintage paraphernalia - it wasn't just the barns that had a vintage touch, many of the guests made an extra special effort to dress for the occasion too. Louise and Jeff are very much up for a laugh and this was never going to be your "run of the mill" wedding. No sooner had the speeches been finished, it was down to the gardens for a wedding sports day followed by a little dressing up before a perfectly executed first dance in the courtyard. All in all, a wonderful wedding - a needed a lie down afterwards ! Here's a little selection for you.
I thought I would share a few images of a stunning matted album from Jorgensen Albums of Australia. The red earth linen cover is part of a new range of covers I have introduced to my range of matted albums. Inspired by natural fabrics and the soft colour palette that is sweeping the design industry at the moment, I'm sure it will be a big hit with my 2013 and 2014 clients. The album features Natalie and Alastair's beautiful wedding at Dodmoor House, Northants last October.
It was great to return to the lovely Dodmoor House for Natalie and Alastair's big day on a beautiful late October day. Once again, the weather was very kind, with guests being able to mingle in the courtyard for drinks and canapes whilst I was able to take advantage of some lovely soft light, late in the day for portraits. There were some lovely personal touches throughout the day, with Alastair's mum providing the penguin themed artwork for the table names and a lovely sparkler arch signally the start of the evening festivities. Here are just a few of my favourites from the day.
Just a quick word of congrats to Natlie and Alastair who celebrated their wedding on a beautiful autumnal day at Dodmoor House. Thanks also to Rohanna and the team who made me feel very welcome and ran the day perfectly for the happy couple.
