Kimbolton Castle Wedding Photography
What a joy it was to photograph Kat and Tom's wonderful Kimbolton Castle wedding. It was a gorgeous spring day and the castle and grounds were as simply perfect setting. As is the case with most of my wedding days, I met up with Kat and her bridesmaids at her parents house. The girls were very relaxed and were clearly very exited about the day that lay ahead. All too soon it was time to depart for Kimbolton Castle for the wedding ceremony.
Kimbolton Castle has a long history. It was the final home of King Henry VIII's wife Catherine of Aragon. Kimbolton Castle is reported to be haunted by Catherine of Aragon who died there in 1536 after several years of imprisonment. Originally a medieval castle but converted into a stately palace, it was the family seat of the Dukes of Manchester from 1615 until 1950. It now houses the prestigious Kimbolton School.
Kat and Tom were married in the stunning State Room which was flooded with gorgeous spring sunshine and then all the wedding party were able to enjoy the courtyard and grounds for bubbles, nibbles and confetti.
As a documentary wedding photographer Kat and Tom were keen to make sure that they could enjoy the day to the full without much in the way of formal photographs - as you will see from the images below both the happy couple and their guests had a wonderful time.
