Chicheley Hall Wedding Photography - Hannah & Alex
I have been very excited about publishing my latest blog post. In late September I had the pleasure of visiting Chicheley Hall for the first time to photograph Hannah and Alex's wedding. Chicheley Hall is a gem of place, set in the Buckinghamshire countryside the house dates back to 1720 and it is the perfect setting for an intimate wedding reception with stunning gardens and architecture. Hannah and Alex held their ceremony in the church located within the grounds of the house and it was with some relief that the early morning drizzle cleared and gave the happy couple and their guests the opportunity to walk back to the house and gardens without the need for brollies. It was lovely to have the chance to explore a little more of Chicheley Hall with Hannah and Alex for a few softly posed portraits, the wonderful tear-drop chandelier (that's what Im going to call it anyway !) being a particular favourite of mine. Here's just a small selection of images from the day, hope you enjoy.
Just catching up on a little bit of blogging after a very hectic September and October - lots of weddings to show you soon, starting with Rachel and Matt's wonderful day in Little Houghton and Dodford Manor. It was a rather gloomy start to the day and I suspected that I may experience my first wet wedding of the year (how lucky have I been this year !!), however despite the ominous cloud cover the weather improved and by the time we arrived at Dodford, Rachel and Matt's family and friends were bathed in warm sunshine as they enjoyed drinks and canapés in the courtyard. Whilst you won't be able to tell from the images in this blog post - Rachel fell ill on the eve of the wedding (every bride's worst nightmare) and when I met her first thing in the morning I doubted she would make it through the day. However, she was a real trouper and despite her illness, immersed herself into the day with gusto (as did Matt !). They were both a dream to work with, very relaxed and fun to be around - it was a pleasure to capture their big day for them. As an aside, you'll notice the lack of images inside the church, alas - a blanket ban on all photography put paid to any coverage during what was a beautiful service. Here's a small selection of images for your delectation.
We had another beautiful day at Fawsley back in September for the wedding of Elena and Luke. Having both recently moved back to the UK from Paris, the wedding had a very French feel and the Saunders Suite looked wonderfully opulent with the inclusion of some stunning mood lighting and candelabra. Both Elena and Luke were very relaxed and great to work with - letting me work unobtrusively, capturing the day for them as they enjoyed the company of their family and friends. Here's a small selection of images from the day.
I was thrilled to be able to return to Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire for the wedding of Louise and Jeff. Vintage was very much order of the day with the Catesby and Courtyard Barns meticulously dressed from top to toe in vintage paraphernalia - it wasn't just the barns that had a vintage touch, many of the guests made an extra special effort to dress for the occasion too. Louise and Jeff are very much up for a laugh and this was never going to be your "run of the mill" wedding. No sooner had the speeches been finished, it was down to the gardens for a wedding sports day followed by a little dressing up before a perfectly executed first dance in the courtyard. All in all, a wonderful wedding - a needed a lie down afterwards ! Here's a little selection for you.
